How to enter Chaotic Outer Reshanta
- Press Esc and open the Abyss window; it opens on the Abyss Reshanta tab.
- Pick Chaotic Outer Reshanta at the top of the list, above Chaotic Lower Reshanta.
- Check the panel on the right: the entry requirements, your Basic Usage Time and any Added Usage Time, and a countdown to the next reset of the basic time.
- Press Enter.
NC's patch notes only name level 45; the entry panel also asks for item level 1,000, the same bar as Chaotic Lower Reshanta. The Basic Usage Time starts at 3:00:00, and time from Outer Entry Stones shows up on its own line as Added Usage Time.
Where you arrive and how to teleport inside
Fast travel inside Chaotic Outer Reshanta runs through Kibelisks. You land in a fortress, such as Dukysas Fortress, and its Kibelisk is bound for you the moment you arrive: the map's Kibelisk list marks it Bind Complete, so after a fight you can teleport straight back to it.
The zone's own description in the Abyss window calls it a newly found outer layer of the Abyss, made of pieces of a nebula that broke away. It names the remains of three old fortresses inside, Krotan, Dukysas and La Miren, and a central island overgrown with thorn trees, the Red Thorn Crown Isle.
Why everyone has the same stats
NC made the zone to narrow the gap in Abyss Points between new and well-geared characters and give a fairer PvP zone. In the rest of the Abyss, a character with better gear and higher skill levels wins more fights and collects Abyss Points faster. Here the game sets stats, skill levels and Stigma levels to the same values for every player, with every skill at level 20, so a fresh level 45 and a fully geared veteran start a fight on the same numbers.
What stays different is your class. The stat bonuses and specialization effects that come from class-specific skills and Stigmas still apply, so a Templar still plays like a Templar and a Cleric still heals like a Cleric. How each class plays, and which skills and Stigmas players pick, is on the AION 2 skill builder and the AION 2 class tier list.
What Chaotic Outer Reshanta drops
| Reward | What it is |
|---|---|
| Kina (Bound) | the game's money, bound to your character |
| Abyss Points | the Abyss currency and rank points; halved when they come from PvP here |
| Common, Rare and Epic gear | gear drops in three grades |
| Outer Abyss Rift Stone (Bound) | a material named after this zone |
| Crafting materials (Bound) | various bound materials |
Abyss Points you win in PvP here count for half. That keeps the zone from becoming the fastest way to farm Abyss rank: it is a place where newer players can fight on even terms and still take something home.
How long you can stay
Every character gets 3 hours inside each week. Outer Entry Stones extend that time. The game week begins at the weekly reset; when that comes in your time zone is on AION 2 timers.
What else changed in the Abyss with the same update
- The Artifact Siege now runs twice a week, on Thursday and Saturday at 21:00, and its three bosses follow at 21:30 on the same days.
- Abyss Corridor runs give 50% more Abyss Points to make up for the fewer sieges.
The Artifact Siege countdown is on AION 2 timers, and the Abyss field bosses, with Argo, the Spirit King now at 10:30 and 22:30, are on the AION 2 world boss timer. Ludra, the raid that came back the same day, is on AION 2 Ludra, and every patch since launch is on AION 2 news and patch notes.
