The Brawler is AION 2's ninth class, a front-line fighter with Gauntlets. It has been playable in the Korean version since July 1, 2026. The global version launched on October 5, 2026 with 8 classes, and NC has not yet said when the Brawler comes to it.

When is the Brawler coming to AION 2 global?

NC has not given a date. As of October 24, 2026, NC's class list for the global version still has 8 classes, and none of NC's 75 AION 2 announcements on Steam mention the Brawler.

When NC announces it, the date goes on our AION 2 news and patch notes page the same day, and this page changes with it. Until then, any global date you see is a guess, not NC's.

In Korea, the Brawler came about seven months after launch, with the first big content update, Chapter 1: Lands of Sand and Snow. NC has not said whether the global version will get its updates in the same order or at the same pace, so the Korean dates are not a forecast.

What is the Brawler in AION 2?

  • Fights with the Gauntlets, a weapon made for the Brawler alone.
  • Built for the front line: it hits what is in front of it and closes in with charging combos.
  • Uses Rage: basic attacks and active skills build it up, and a full Rage gauge sends the Brawler into Rampage.
  • To mark its arrival, NC gave every player in the Korean version one extra character slot for free.

NC has not published the Brawler's skills in English. Skill names you may see elsewhere are not NC's, so we leave them out until NC publishes them or the class reaches the global version.

Can you play the Brawler now?

Only in the Korean version, which NC runs as a separate service. NC says progress from its Korean and Taiwanese versions does not carry over to the global version, so a Brawler made in Korea will not come with you to a global server.

What came with the Brawler in Korea

Besides the new class, NC's Lands of Sand and Snow update for the Korean version brought these changes:

  • Raised the level cap to 50 and let Stigma skills go up to level 25.
  • Added two regions, Eltnen for the Elyos and Morheim for the Asmodians, with Sealed Dungeons, Strongholds and Monoliths.
  • Added two dungeons that need level 50 and item level 3,500: Citadel of the Fallen Daeva (Expedition) and Abyssal Horn Den (Transcendence).
  • Made Expedition and Transcendence dungeons five-player and Sanctuary dungeons ten-player, removed their entry tickets and let pets be ridden inside dungeons.
  • Added two PvP modes: Chaotic Upper Reshanta, a zone that caps item level and combat power, and Battlefield: Siege, where teams start equal and fight over three zones.

What to play until the Brawler comes

The Brawler fights up close, at the front. Of the 8 classes in the global version, the nearest by NC's own descriptions is the AION 2 Gladiator, a front-line fighter with a giant blade. The Templar also stands at the front as a shield guardian who holds the line, and the Assassin is a silent striker from the shadows. Each has a level-45 build in AION 2 builds for every class, and the quiz in the AION 2 classes overview helps you pick.

Is Slayer a new class?

No. NC has never announced a class called Slayer; the Brawler is the only class NC has added since launch. More on what NC has said about new classes is on the AION 2 new class page.
