The Chanter build at a glance
Both builds spend exactly the 203 Skill Points and 29 Stigma Shard points a character earns by level 45. Skills not listed stay at level 1. Each button opens the build in our skill builder, where you can change any level.

Why some skills stop at 7: levels 2 to 4 cost 1 Skill Point each, 5 to 7 cost 2 and 8 to 10 cost 4, so a skill at 7 costs 9 points and the last three levels cost 12 more. Wisdom Stones add points on top of the 203; spend them on the next skill in the list below. Daevanion nodes and gear add levels beyond the 10 that Skill Points buy.
Chanter skill priority
In the order to raise them. Next to each skill: how many of 60 level-45 Chanters in NC's own character data have it on their skill bar.
- Dark Crush to 10 (on the bar: 60 of 60). Where most of your damage comes from. It can only be used for 2 seconds after Impactful Crush or Spinning Strike; its first specialty makes it always crit, and skill level 16 removes its cooldown.
- Spinning Strike to 10 (on the bar: 60 of 60). Opens Dark Crush. At skill level 12, take the specialty that cuts its cooldown by 5 seconds.
- Onslaught to 10 (on the bar: 60 of 60). Your basic attack and your fallback when mana runs low.
- Incandescent Blow to 10 (on the bar: 60 of 60). Damage and mana between the Dark Crush windows.
- Recuperation to 10 (on the bar: 60 of 60). Heals the party and clears debuffs you can remove.
- Impactful Crush to 10 and Rushing Smash to 10 (on the bar: 60 of 60, 60 of 60). Impactful Crush stuns and opens Dark Crush; Rushing Smash is your dash in.
Passives. Attack Preparation and Wind's Promise to 10. Blessing of Life gets 7 levels and Inspiring Spell the last 5 points.
Chanter Stigmas
Stigma slots open at levels 22, 27, 32 and 37. Learning a Stigma costs 1 shard point; the 29 points you have at 45 cover four Stigmas at these levels:
| Stigma | Level | Slot opens at | Level-45 Chanters running it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Undefeated Mantra | 10 | 22 | 55 of 60 |
| Sprint Mantra | 5 | 27 | 50 of 60 |
| Power of the Storm | 5 | 32 | 43 of 60 |
| Marchutan's Wrath | 4 | 37 | 34 of 60 |
- Undefeated Mantra is the first Stigma, and top Chanters take it all the way to 10.
- It does not stack with the Cleric's Light of Protection: with both in a group, only one applies, so agree on who brings it.
- Sprint Mantra for speed, Power of the Storm for the group's damage windows.
- Marchutan's Wrath also opens Dark Crush, for about 3 seconds.
Obliterate is the usual swap for the fourth slot when your group needs to stagger a boss.
Daevanion boards
The boards add stats, and some of their nodes add a level to a skill. Take the +1 nodes for Dark Crush, Onslaught, Incandescent Blow and Attack Preparation first: nearly every top Chanter does. Dark Crush first on every board, then Spinning Strike and Onslaught. Take a skill node only when it gets the skill to its next specialty level.
- Nezekan, level 12: Combat Speed and Cooldown Reduction.
- Zikel, level 20: Damage Boost and Damage Tolerance.
- Vaizel, level 30: Critical Damage Boost and Critical Damage Tolerance.
- Triniel, level 40: Multi-Hit Chance and Multi-Hit Resist.
- Azphel, level 45: PvP stats only.
- Ariel, added in NC's October 20 patch, fills from Ariel Fragments earned in the Hard mode of Krao Cave and Draupnir (item level 2600).
Chanter rotation
- Undefeated Mantra on before the pull.
- Rushing Smash in.
- Spinning Strike, then Dark Crush within 2 seconds.
- Impactful Crush, then Dark Crush again.
- Marchutan's Wrath, then Dark Crush.
- Onslaught and Incandescent Blow in the gaps; Power of the Storm in the group's damage window, Recuperation when the party needs it.
Macro. Keep Dark Crush and Recuperation out of the macro: Dark Crush has to land inside its window, and heals need your timing.
Skills land better when Tab picks the enemy in front of you; see how to set up tab target in AION 2.

Chanter stats
PvE: Accuracy, Attack, Critical Hit and Critical Damage Boost.
PvP: Accuracy, HP, PvP Damage Boost and Resistance.
Chanter PvP build
The PvP build keeps the same core and changes the rest: Tremor Crush and Wave Blow go to 10, and Obliterate takes over Stigma slots. The full list is in the table at the top.
- Tremor Crush and Wave Blow go to 10 for control against players.
- For the Arena, you can swap the Stigmas to Focused Defense, Ensnaring Mark, Guardian Blessing and Assault Shock.
- For the Abyss, the same guide keeps the two mantras and adds Impeding Authority and Barrier Spell.

Other ways to build it
Impactful Crush and Rushing Smash can be maxed or stop at 8. Recuperation goes to 8 in damage builds and 10 in support builds.
How we put this build together
We do not play-test builds ourselves. Every pick is checked against NC's own Character Info: 60 level-45 Chanters across NA West, NA East and Europe, and what each one has on the skill bar. Where builds split, we followed the side NC's data backs and wrote the other side above. Skill and Stigma names are NC's global names. Checked on October 23, 2026.
Every Chanter skill and its unlock level is on the AION 2 Chanter skills page, and the way to 45 is in the AION 2 Chanter leveling guide. Builds for the other classes: Gladiator, Templar, Assassin, Ranger, Cleric, Sorcerer and Spiritmaster, or all eight side by side on AION 2 builds for every class.
